Millie is a fledgling artist from London. She goes to Australia to put her artwork in a gallery while she works another job, but doesn't end up selling any of her work. One night, she is outside the gallery when young, handsome millionaire Levander approaches her. When he finds out she’s returning home the following day, he asks, “Would you like to make this last night a special night?” and then shows her around Melbourne. At first she feels uncomfortable—sightseeing with a man she just met! But she’s on a nice date with a handsome man, and she can’t stop her pounding heart!

a wedding that was going too fast. 3  3

The hero and heroine meet by chance at a restaurant she works at but they have only a short affair because the heroine is crossing an ocean and many countries to go home. It's a night where they not only open their hearts but much more. The kind of thing that has a ticker that goes off in nine months. She's called back to the hero's town when an art gallery owner calls her back for a rookie artist convention. However, before that happens, her pregnancy hits the tabloids despite she only told a very close friend who sold her out. The hero's stepmother catches wind and just short of throwing the paparazzi rag at his face. The heroine is shocked by the assault of flashing camera and nosy tabloid reporters. Luckily, the hero comes in to get the heroine away from it all. The two have a discussion and it breaks down to the heroine meeting the hero's family who are mostly a bunch of snobs, especially his stepmother. When the heroine hears the story of the hero being abandoned at an orphanage after his mother tried to get the his father and stepmother tried to get them to take him into their care because she was sick and when she died, he was sent to a poor orphanage. The hero asks her to marry him for the baby's sake and she agrees but the whole quick wedding arrangements and having a naysay in so much like the wedding dress was picked by the STEPMOTHER!!! That is such a big thing for a woman, you can have the stepmother, the aunt, the cousin, or groom's third cousin twice replaced offer their suggestions or opinions on a wedding dress but in the end, it's the bride's decision if it's the dress. The heroine starts losing her spark and the hero notices it too. Then on the day of the wedding, she can't take the idea of her child and herself being subjugated to the heavy expectation of the hero's family and she makes a break for it. The hero finds her quickly and tells her that he cancelled the wedding because he saw how she had lost her spring in her step. The hero admits the wrong in having the wedding so quickly but he only wanted it quickly to make the heroine and the child his. They confess their love for each other and decide to get married at the church with it being so much better since most of the people have already left. We skip a year later where the hero and heroine are cuddling their six month old son. It's a very nice story and I like it.

Love at first sight 4  4

I like this story because it's quite unconventional. It's a sort of love at first sight: both the hero and the heroine feel an immediate deep connection between each other. Soon after a night of passion, they part, but... destiny has something in store to bring them back together! At the end, they'll make an unexpected choice... that I've really appreciated.
