I love those little cute arts inside the manga, they make the story funny.

Erin was so right. I loved the story and what happened. We have the hero who's harbored a yearning for the heroine ever since they were young teenagers. However, he held back when he saw her making goo-goo eyes at their other childhood friend. Those two got married and joined the army like he did. Years later, the hero hears at HQ that the friend is dead and rushes to assist the heroine. Boy, does she need help because her husband was a compulsive gambler that's racked a hefty debt and left the heroine to the wolves who propose "deals" in return as alternatives to pay off the husband's debt. The hero learns of this and tries to pay it off but the heroine resists since any pay off would mean that they have a "deal" and ruin the heroine's image. So, the hero comes up with the alternative of marriage in order to avoid suspicion. The heroine rejects but the hero agrees to her condition that there be no coitus in order to get the marriage annulled in Lisbon. She's doing this because she doesn't want to chain the poor hero when he could be with his one true love (OHHH HEROINEEEEEEEE!!!!). I love how the hero kept his word and let the heroine know that she's beautiful and worth waiting for. How he was patient when he learned of what a jerk the dead friend was with cheating on the heroine with every woman in the camp then forcing her to have coitus after a bout with every woman he did. I love how the hero gave the heroine the choice to go further and it was the heroine who realizes what a top quality kind of guy the hero is and he's someone she can give herself to. He then finally reveals his one-sided love for her and the pain he took to hide it. The heroine confesses she's in love with him and we have a happy ending. It was a good book to read and I would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful Second Chances 4  4

I cant believe Ive ignored this title for such a long time. The cover doesnt do it justice. The hero has got to be the nicest, most honest and forgiving hero of all harlequin novels Ive ever encountered. He deserves to be happy. The whole time I kept feeling how worthy Bry is of her love. Such a beautiful story.
