Lara, a nurse, laughs off the “prophecy” from one of her eccentric patients. The old woman and self-proclaimed fortune-teller predicts that Lara will be proposed to on Christmas Day. To top it off, her husband-to-be will be very handsome and oh-so-sexy. “She’s saying that to someone who has never seriously dated a man before! That’s impossible!” While shaking off such idle thoughts, she proceeds to the emergency room. A doctor has been there waiting for her, a man who just so happens to be extremely capable, handsome and sexy. Dr. Christian Blake. “If it’s this man, he might just fit the bill. No, wait, he’s way beyond my reach. There’s absolutely no chance it can be him!”

This story was just incredible. the hero and his daughthers have just suffered so much they really deserve all the happiness they can get. and they will get it in the form of the heroine. if winning over the hero's daughters is a done deal, it's not easily said with the hero, who's cautious but with good reason. i love that the heroine was upfront about her feelings for the hero but aknowledged his desire to not pursue things and tried her best to only help him with his family. Amazing story with a well deserved happy ending for everyone! PS: my heart broke with the eldest daughter's secret.

I agree with the previous comment, no sex is sure refreshing! <3 This made me smile, have butterfly in the stomach, cry..... Really loved it, especially the little girls! Besides, the MCs are unconventional : such a pushy female lead, yet no annoying and a passive male lead, but he's so handsome :-). It was a great read (will read again soon)

So adorable 5  5

I loved the Magic of Christmas for a lot of things. 1. There was no sex. There was attraction but the book was more based on finding the traits of each character that the other liked. I loved how the hero and heroine were just thinking of what they liked about each other as they spent time together. 2. They put in kids. In lot of harlequin books, the children always seem to disappear. However, in the Magic of Christmas, we get to see the hands on, kids are actually talking and having a conversation with both main characters of the story. I especially loved the relationship between the hero and his daughters grow. It was so cute. The heroine was awesome, especially when it came to talking and handling the girls. 3. Both had good careers, both of them were working and had good jobs. 4. A fun way of introducing everyone to everyone. There was a Santa when everyone met everyone. The book was a great one to read. That's why I gave it 5 stars.
