Great detective work 5  5

Well, this was a fun story to read with all the mystery and strippers that brought along with it. I found it to be really entertaining with the heroine thinking she's saved by a stripper then giving her own strip tease show to the hero at the end. I did find her to be quite silly on taking this whole case on finding the men who gave her little brother a faulty gun by herself. I was still impressed with her brave attitude to danger, unwillingness to give up, and she can still smile with a bruise on her eye. The hero was a fun individual to read about danger attitude and white knight sort of aura he shoed to the heroine. They made quite a pair of detectives in solving the mysteries and putting the bad guys away. It was a great ending and plot.

Manga vs book 4  4

In the book: Emily is a slender brunette (she laments never having "blossomed"). Brock is called Frog. Em's parents come to her house to get John. A rat causes Em to lose her hiding place. In the manga: Judd has a cell phone. John's scars are missing. John and Judd go fishing. I love how Karin Myamoto gave Emily such big eyes. Emily's super happy face on the cover drew me to read this one.
