[ 3-day rental ]

Adrien’s dream was to restore Grange Manor to its former glory. But after the owner suddenly leaves without paying the contractors, she’s put in quite the bind. While trying to find a means to pay the restoration fees, she comes face-to-face with her old crush Chay, who Adrien came to know at Grange Manor. Due to a past incident, she doesn’t want anything to do with Chay. Unfortunately, he’s bought the property from the previous owner, meaning Adrien has no choice. Even though Adrien feels as if she’s being tormented, she can’t help but see how hard Chay is trying to fully restore Grange Manor. Is Chay really the heartless man she’s always imagined him to be, or has she been mistaken all these years?

The hero was not responsible 2  2

The hero was a childhood crush of the heroine when they were young and they had a wonderful time even when the hero's mother's boss's nephew who was a rotten child that spoiled everything. Then one night, the heroine got stuck in a tree and when she called out to the boy in the overhead raincoat, he only pushed over the ladder and left her there. The heroine believes that it was the hero but it's not until she goes over her memories that she realizes that couldn't possibly be the hero because of what the perpetrator did. However, it's not until towards the end that she realizes. Other than that, she's not pleased to have the hero around but she needs him desperately. Apparently, she's engaged to the spoiled nephew as well as working with him to restore the manor but bolted when the bills came in. Then there's the matter of him being with other women that the heroine ends their engagement. The heroine is desperate to pay all the local workers but only when the hero comes in, offering to pay that the heroine sees a glimmer of hope. Yet, the heroine spits nails at him and doesn't really give him a chance for an explanation and not that he tries to give one till the end. She doesn't try to make any sort of apology till after the hero saves her from being nearly assaulted by the spoiled brat. The two confess their love and it's the happy ending. It was just a little boring for me.
