regaining what was lost 3  3

The heroine wakes up from a car accident with no memory of the hero, even though he's the emergency contact of the heroine. He was the heroine's boyfriend but they had a bad break up about four years ago. Now, the hero is faced with the situation of whether or not he'll care for the heroine for left him in a bad way and the child that he suspects is another man's child. He decides to do it after the words, "Social Services" is mentioned. He even gives the heroine a job at his celebrity show as a woman who goes his fan mail. She doesn't mind and she tries to figure out why she left him in the first place. They spend time together and become the image of a happy family till the word grandpa pops up and hate heroine remembers her father. They try to contact him but can't communicate. So, they spend more time, traveling around and looking for the man. The heroine finds out that he died only last week and she remembers everything. The boy is actually the hero's son and that's why she left him because he said that he didn't want kids. She ended the relationship and ended up living with her father. Her father's dying words was to see the hero and she does but she was so upset during the drive, that she crashed and lost her memory. The heroine gives the hero some time to process the whole thing about the hero being a father. Now, not having them in the house, the getting the boy's baby journal, and some wise wisdom from a friend pushes the hero to see the heroine. He goes to the heroine and explains the reasons why he didn't want kids. His family was separated at a young age because when the hero was supposed to watch many of his siblings at a young age, one of them got hurt and he called an ambulance. It set off a chain reaction of hospital calling social services, child welfare, and then a judge who had the family broken apart. The hero blames himself for breaking up his family but the heroine tells him that he was just a kid himself who was doing the right thing of putting his brother's health first. It's a nice ending and I did like the story.
