THE ITALIAN'S TOUCH
Fleur, working as a nurse, lives with her seven-year-old son, Alex, after the death of her husband, and goes back to work for the first time in two years, encouraged by her friend at the hospital. On her very first day, she performs botched work. She relives her traumatic experience she went through with her late husband when her patient is brought into the resuscitation room. She fails to do her part and runs out of the room. Newly hired Italian doctor, Mario, gets angry with her. That night, Mario suddenly pays a visit to her when she is feeling down…?!

I really enjoyed this one because it was a harlequin recipe with every little bit in that made it go well with work romance, child, hero from another country, etc. There were a couple of gaps like how long it has been since the heroine's husband death because it went from 3 to 2 then back to 3 then 2 years. Nevertheless, I liked reading how the hero and heroine first met in the hospital with her being in emergency and him being the doctor. They develop a great relationship over the hero's nephew and her son and getting to know the other person. Nothing is rushed and they deal with issues like moving forward from the death of a spouse and being a double parent to their child. Another I like, which was a bit sad was that the spouse wasn't the hidden abuser or cheater but a wonderful dad and husband who died in a car crash. Another thing I liked is the hero and heroine's faults in view of the reader of how the hero apologizes to the heroine for his insensitivity when he learns on her birthday, also the day her husband proposed to her, he came in on a stretcher with blood all around and too late to save. The heroine going after the hero to support and apologize when she has one too many hurtful things to the hero. It was just so good and I really liked reading it.
