BEAUTY AND THE BEASTMASTER
Born to a noble politician in a prominent political family, Amanda is determined to seek justice for animals who are mistreated. She’s learned of a case of possible animal cruelty in the world of wrestling, so she attends an event. In the spotlight appears Bram, the Beastmaster, with his tiger. He carries himself like a king, and he is definitely wild and dangerous. After his victory, he gives Amanda an evil grin and picks her up to show off his brawn. Held aloft by a powerful half-naked man, Amanda feels sweet heat coursing through her body like never before. And that’s before he steals a kiss from her in front of the raving audience! This was not at all how she’d thought this encounter would go!

Alright, this was harlequin comic dessert that you only needed to take one bite of to know that you wanted to read the whole story. We have both strong characters who seem opposites in the human interaction both socially and culturally. The heroine thinks the hero is nothing more meat-head who abuses animals that goes against her path for justice. However, she discovers that he's more than that, he's a huge cat lover who not only supports a Big Cat sanctuary with his big fight wins but also participates in handling, training, and rehabilitating any Big Cat from the horror done by nature or human hand. We have the big obstacle of the heroine ruining the sanctuary and the possible future of closing it down. She apologizes for her rash actions but some of the employees throw firecrackers as a prank to scare her. However, the hero stops him when he hears before the prank that she was present at her political father's assassination and has been terribly frightened of any noise that resembles a gunshot. The hero can see the heroine is not just a lioness but a caged one at that as well as a frightened kitten who needs a cuddle. I loved how the story went with them meeting the first time, misunderstandings, connections, simple growing romance, and more. I loved the issues the hero and heroine faced with their relationship that included the media, publicity, etc. It gave such deep meaning and the ending was brilliant. I can't give any spoilers for the ending but think Big Cat and Big Ring. It's definitely a read to rent if you feel cheap but if you have the money for it then it's a definite buy to keep.
