It had mystery, society, and love finally. 5  5

I found this one to be rather good because how it goes. The hero thinks the heroine is her client who's engaged to a real haughty guy and decides to kidnap her. He has no idea till the heroine tells him that she's the attendant despite being so young. The hero also learns of the heroine's predicament of being left at the altar and sent away with nothing four years ago by her stepfather. When the hero hears a little more, he decides to investigate for the heroine's sake. They are able to cover up the whole thing with fever thing and the heroine becomes another lady's attendant from her no filter mouthed young lady. The hero has a lot on his plate with keeping a bad man from taking his family lands, proving his birthright, and finding out what happened to his mother who was found roughened up then disappeared. The heroine runs into her jilter who confesses about the whole thing was constructed by the stepfather but he wants her back. The hero comes bursting in and proposes to the heroine and she rejects both their proposal. Later on, she finds out the hero notified her lawyers of her stepfather embezzling her inheritance. The men immediately had the man outside but the heroine's stupid mother blames the heroine, not thinking how horrible the man was for having her daughter dishonored and stole her money. I liked how the story goes on with the hero and heroine growing close and falling in love. The hero proposes to the heroine and she happily accepts his proposal. I loved the scene of the haughty girl the heroine was previously hired to accompany gets a good dose of what happens when she opens her mouth. The trial scene was good as well. The wedding was good but not as good as the final fight between the hero and the bad guy. It was a definitely a good ending and I really liked it.
