If she lets her passion for the wrong man show, everyone will know her engagement is a sham.
Katherine’s friend has asked her to pretend to be his fiancé when he returns home to his family, the owners of Bishop Bank. Kat gives a stellar performance as Todd’s fiancé for the uptight and stuffy Bishop clan, but the moment she meets Daniel, the head of the family, she cannot tear her eyes away. He has perilously blue eyes and a perfect face… He’s supposed to be a boring banker, but his air of danger has captured Kat’s attention. So what is she to do when, at a family party, Daniel pulls her away for a smoldering interlude?

This is story has the theme of heroine pretending to be bad girl. The heroine is asked by a friend to act as his new girlfriend and give them unsuitable mind to their aristocratic minds, so he can get his real girlfriend to look like an angel. The heroine agrees but finds out the man failed to tell her that they are engaged. There's a lot of biting remarks from the hero's mother who is the boss and the hero who's the family provider. However, the heroine makes an impression and doesn't back down from her job of being the bad girl. Mostly because she wants to tick off the old woman and the hero. The hero and her spar a lot of words and even use Shakespeare till they go a step too far and get into a passionate kiss. To cut it short and keep myself from spoiling some of the twists, the hero and heroine do have a passionate that's doused in ice water with the sudden appearance of the hero's fiancee. The heroine is shocked sets to leave, which sparks another argument with the hero. They say things they don't mean and don't see each other for 3 months. Around this time, the heroine receives news of owning some major share holdings and that she's pregnant. She plans to raise the baby alone till she gets a wedding invite and jumps to the idea that it's some form of a cruel joke from the hero. She failed to read that it's a wedding between her fake boyfriend's mother and her beau. She stomps down to the hero's workplace to give him a piece of her mind. She does have the decency of being polite and asking to speak with the hero in private. When they're alone, she lets him have it and reveals she's pregnant. The hero is shocked but insists they marry. He even clears up the misunderstanding on the wedding invitation. Once, the misunderstanding is cleared up, the two confess their feelings and make plans to get married. We come to the end where the hero's mother is peeking through the crack in the doorway. She has overheard the whole thing but couldn't be more than happy since it means she'll be getting a grandchild.
