I found the story to be quite cute and all with how it goes. So, the hero and heroine have known each other since childhood but not on pleasant terms. The terms being that the hero would tease the heroine and he ended up being public enemy#1 to her for the rest of her life. They did separate as they grew older what with the hero entering endless rodeo competitions to the heroine becoming head of the family and manager of her family's as a young teenager through the tragedy of her parents' deaths. Now, her ranch is in the deep red and no matter how hard she's worked for it, she keeps coming up with problems. One day, one of her sisters takes her to a road where the hero is starring in. The hero comes sauntering in with a proposal of marriage that really offsets the heroine. She asks why and he asks, "Would you believe me if I told you that I love you (it's the truth)?" and she responds no. So, the hero comes up a lie in order to help the girl he loves save her family's ranch. He states he doesn't really love her and says that it's a contract marriage of where she'll get money to save her ranch and he'll get people off his back about marriage. The heroine goes for it as long as she's only wife in name and will pay the hero back. The woman has no idea of the ride she's in for. Within three months, the hero and heroine have a plan for the wedding and have worked together a budget plan to bring the ranch back up. After the wedding bliss comes the hard time with heavy rail that destroys the new efforts for the hero and heroine. The hero comforts the heroine and things get better. Afterwards, the hero goes off to do his rodeos but gives her his lucky charm. Now, the heroine doesn't want to let the hero go and sees his accident on tv. She rushes to the hospital but he chases her out with the lies with the OW (who's actually his manager and nothing more rom both sides). It's only after she leaves that she realizes she still has his lucky charm. She goes back to the room and overhears the truth. His manager giving him a hard time for lying to the heroine about how much he loves her and is risking with the multiple competitions to send her the money for her ranch. The manager sees the heroine listening in and decides to play fairy godmother by getting the heroine to reveal herself and leave the couple to talk things out. He finally confesses his love for the heroine and the heroine confesses her love for him. A year later, things are better with the ranch, the hero is still rodeoing and they're going to have a baby.It wall all rather a sweet ending.
