LAST CHANCE MARRIAGE
He gave her comfort once, years ago, and now he’s her neighbor!
Clemency can’t believe her eyes! She caught her husband and her best friend in a tender embrace. Unable to bear the sight, Clemency flees and ends up on the banks of the River Thames where she meets a man. They grow close over an intimate conversation, and their lips graze in a faint parting kiss before they go their separate ways… Five years later, she moves into a new house. When she sees her neighbor, her heart begins to pound. Why? It’s the man from five years ago.

The heroine is reunited with a man she met five years ago on one of the worst nights of her life; she discovered her husband having a love affair with her best friend. She ran out to be alone and met a man who was still processing the whole surprise that his wife wanted to abort their newly discovered pregnancy. They listened to each other’s woes that started up with a short peck on the lips. They instantly regretted it and separated. No phone number was exchanged and five years passed instantly till the divorcee heroine discovers her new neighbor is the hero with his twin boys. He himself is a divorcee too. They summarize to one another on what happened in the last five years and try being “good neighbors” to one another. Of course it doesn’t work since the hero admits his attraction for the hero. The only setback is his statement that it’s only sex and the heroine responds with a big fat no. I did like that he apologize the next morning with a sorry. The next snag is when the heroine opens up about a potential job opportunity that requires her to fly all over Europe. The hero compares the heroine to his workaholic ex-wife, which she denies. He does make amends but later the heroine misunderstands the OW in the house. She makes the rash announcement of selling her home. During the wait period, the heroine becomes closer with the hero and his sons. She learns the OW is the ex-sister-in-law and becomes intimate with the hero. Sadly, misunderstands arise to the heroine being barred by the hero into his family. Other obstacles like the heroine getting the job and ex-sister-in-law who makes a comment about the hero still being in love with his ex pull them away. They have a pregnancy scare but the heroine gets her period. Thankfully, the whole thing has them reveal their love for each other but the heroine runs away. Later, she gets his message and meets him at the first place they met. The hero does the open heart confession with the heroine responding the same way. In the end, we see their comic version of a happily ever after.
